Yes, this test works with remote shared resources.
And it works fine from Windows 2000 till Windows 7.
Normally you should see error messages in Windows Event Log and HostMonitor Connection Manager Log when there are some account related issued.
But you do not see any error message in the logs...
Can you create NORMAL share, not HIDDEN share? Without using "$"?
Regards

Now works (without $) fine.
Is it possible to add support for hidden shares ?

Normally it should work.
Could you check if account that you have specified on Service page in HostMonitor(!) Options dialog belongs to local admin group?
What Windows do you use?
Service Pack?
Windows on remote system?
Service Pack?
Regards

Hi
Yes the service account is local admin on all servers

The hostmonitor server runs on windows 2003 R2 std sp2
The remote servers I checked: wk3 R2 Sp2 and w2k8 R2 Sp1

Could you setup UNC test for admin share?
Also, please, enable "Show error description in Reply field when cannot access resource" option, located on Misc page (Settings for UNC tests) of Options dialog.
What error do you get in Reply field of UNC test ? |

What issue?
You said "work perfect ...Get status bad and good relevant to test", we assumed everything works fine now.
Do you mean UNC test can access hidden share \\systeam\c$ while Folder/File test cannot access the same resource (hidden resource)?

Hi
Works perfect the test you ask to create for testing

The file Size test still not working.
Sorry for misunderstanding.

We have rechecked HostMonitor service with "Folder/File Size" test, and it works well with normal and admin shares on remote systems.
I think you should ask Microsoft why Services running on your system can access normal shares while admin shares are not accessible. |

Hi
Thanks for response.
For the last option, we restarted one more time the server (hostmonitor)
And the test starts to work normally with bad and ok status.
I don’t know what was the real reason for my problem.
But now I am happy
Thanks a lot |

Sorry, we could not provide much help in this case but it looks like some Windows "particularity".
Its good it works now.
