|
|
Hi
I am using Hostmonitore 9.10
I need to create Test that is checking file size on remote server with admin share
Like: \\Servername\M$\foldername\foldername\filename
I choose the test: Folder / File Size
When I insert the path into the Folder/file line or pressing the Browse icon
I see only local drives and folders (on hostmonitor server)
From Hostmonitor server I get full access to tested path and check this from
Start/run
Looking for some help
Regards

HostMonitor is started as service? Application?
Have you specified admin account for target server using Connection Manager (menu Profiles->Conection Manager)?

Do you see any errors in Connection Manager log (check if logging is enabled)?

Yes log file is configured
No errors in log file
No errors on target server event viewer
If I mapping network drive to target server:
Style net use F: \\TargetServer\sharename
And want to use this drive letter in the test, the drive is not visible.
Only local drive C:\
I need agent on Target server for this test?

We found mistake in our code
If this test is not critical for you, we plan to release new version on Monday.

Of course, service does not have access to mapped drive (its for user only)

Are you still trying to use mapped drive for the test?

So, you are using account that does not have access to remote drive?
Then you need to install Remote Monitoring Agent (RMA) on remote system.

Hi
Service Account that running the service is administrator on remote server
All tests I am using on remote servers are working ok with no permissions problems,
and without agents on remote servers. Examples of test on remote server:
Service test
Dhcp tests
Dns tests
Wmi tests
http test
Event viewer

Hi
I create "Temp$" share on target server "Systeam"
I add the path to the new test: \\systeam\temp$\file.txt
The test status is unknown
If I run this unc from hostmonitor server (start /run /enter)
I see the content of the folder
This test support remote path or only local ?
