|
|
Hello,
the service "KS Advanced Host Monitor" terminated (hostmon.exe) with the error message: Fehler 1053 Der Dienst antwortet nicht rechtzeitig auf die Start- oder Steuerungsanforderung.
I try to restart the service, but still the same problem.
The Hostmon runs since 3 month without changing the configuration.
What could it be?
Computer: W2K Workstation mit SP4
THX

How this error message can be translated to English? Something like service does not answer..?
Could you try to start HostMonitor as regular application? Any errors?
Regards

This is a known message. We also have this "problem". It never really meant that hostmonitor is not running. See also:

I solve the problem. The filesize of the file "Syslog.html " was larger than 1GB. Since I started Hostmon as regular application it crashed. When i deleted the syslog.html everything is fine.
Thanks for all answers

Strange. We have 1.9GB log file and HostMonitor works fine.
What file system do you use? FAT? NTFS? Some network drive?
HostMonitor version?

H'm, I just tested HostMonitor on similar system: Windows 2000 SP4, NTFS, HostMonito 5.12 and 5.30, log file 1.9 GB. Works fine...
Do you have installed some antivirus monitor on your system?

No AntiVirus Monitor installed but we logged all replys from the test also in MSDE for reporting ans analysing the exusting problems. Perhaps it is too much to log all errors in 2 ways.

If you need larger databases, you need a full blown sql server. |
