SMTP Test shows Alive, although it's not

have a little issue with KSHostMonitor v 4.86

Running on Win2k3 Server.

Thing worked good until about a week or so. The only tests that are done on it are SMTP to different servers on the network.

As of now, all tests that previously worked, all show that "Host is Alive". I have tested it, and I stoped SMTP services on our dev box and ran the test in KSHostMonitor. Test showed as Host is Alive which is wrong.

Any ideas? There were no patches or any additional software that were installed on that server.

Basically, KS shows that everything is up and happy, when in reality it's not.

1) may be monitoring is stopped? do you see 'start' button on toolbar?
2) may be test was not performed because it long time interval assigned, e.g. check every 2 hours? Could you click Refresh button?
3) could you try to connect to your mail server using any terminal? May be it still responding?
