I would like to know if there are any plans for monitoring the Tomcat application server. I would like to be able to monitor tomcat, from what we see allot can be predictied from keeping an eye on the application server. There are allot of great stuff with tomcat but it would be nice to pull it in to Host Monitor. |

As I understand Tomcat works as Web Server extension. It means you can monitor this application using HTTP test.
Am I wrong? What the reason for dedicated test?

In our setup tomcat is realy the heart of our service. If we could pull stats from tomcat into Host monitor we could start looking att application utalization not only hardware utalization.
Keeping track of your tomcat sessions is a great way of understanding application load. |

As I see Tomcat works with ODBC data sources. Can it put necessary information into database? If it can, HostMonitor will be able to retrieve data using ODBC test method.
