HM Version: 3.68
OS Version: Windows 2000 Server 5.00.2195, Service pack 3
We are running HTTP Get tests, pulling an xml file and checking the contents (shouldn't contain xxx). We are seeing the "unknown" status on these tests frequently. This wasn't an issue in the prior version of HM we were running against the same devices (HM 3.56).
If I hit the Test button on the advanced HTTP test properties screen repeatedly, I get a good (host is alive) response each and every time.
Any thoughts on why this may be occurring?
Thanks,
WR |

What HostMonitor displays in "Reply" field when status is "unknown"? It should display error code.

Nothing is diplayed - reply field is blank with the unknown status. |

Could you please send test settings (HML file) to support@ks-soft.net?

Alex -
I sent an email to your support address with a more detailed description of the issue, and the hml file and a sniffer capture attached.

Alex -
An update - while we have stopped getting the "unknown" status on HTTP GET tests, we are now seeing a "no answer" status on these types of tests. Again, this is intermittent and the error clears on the next test iteration. This does seem to occur with less frequency than the "unknown" status of the last build, however.

H'm, cannot not find anything wrong this time. May be high network traffic leads to timeout error?
