Hostmonitor monitoring Hostmonitor

Well, hostmonitor hung the other day, yet the service was still running.
...

I allways use the process-test for things like that. (or other services)
With a service, it can be happen that the service status is still "running", while the process is stopped !

So, what the question? How to monitor HostMonior? Or how to monitor any another service/process? Or..?

You are right, the indexes are huge (8.6gb), so we really only have about 4.2gb of data for the month.

I'll see if we really need the 3 indexes that we have.

Well, hostmonitor hung the other day, yet the service was still running. Hostmonitor also hangs every time we do our SQL backup and re-indexing since SQL is blocking any inserts to the table.
Hi,

i am monitoring my second Hostmonitor by checking the date of my reportfile of the other Hostmonitor.
If the log/report-file should not be written regularly every X minute, the first Hostmonitor sends an alert.
