|
|
Hello,
We're using Hostmonitor 9.82. I have a Shell Script running with the start cmd as follows:
cmd /c C:\Python27\python.exe %Script% %Params%
The executable refers to the executable location on the Hostmonitor. The agent is set to Test by: Hostmonitor.
If I run Hostmonitor in Application Mode, the test runs fine and I get results. If I stop Application Mode and start the service, then connect in with RCC from another computer and refresh the test, I get ERROR: Script returns no results.
Can anyone offer any insight to what is happening and how to fix it? |

Probably permissions related issue...
What account have you specified for HostMonitor service?
Windows? Service Pack?
UAC enabled?

Disabling UAC sorted this (though not exactly sure why) the Hostmonitor service was running as Local System? On 2008 R2 Standard |

Local system account? Then HostMonitor unable to check remote systems.
Please use admin account or Built-in administrator account if UAC is enabled
