Hi KS-Soft,

We are currently receiving the following error and cannot seem to keep the WMI Memory test method alive.

O/S: Windows Server 2008 R2 STD

Failure log error:
[9/25/2014 7:53 AM] 192.168.194.201 Windows socket error: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine (10053), on API 'send'

I have changed the port to "1056" on the remote monitoring agent, the service starts and test other methods successfully (CPU, DISK USAGE) Though only memory test on this server seems to provide problems.

Any ideas?

Could you please give us more information:
- Memory test (using WMI protocol) performed by Passive RMA agent and checks local (to RMA) system? Or may be RMA agent checks some other target system?
- Other test methos, performed by the same RMA agent work well?
- Do you have installed some antivirus monitors, personal firewall, content monitoring software on RMA(or target) system? Non standard winsock components?

Try to increase timeout.
What timeout specified at the moment?

Alex

Hi Alex

Memory test (using WMI protocol) performed by Passive RMA agent
all other tests are being performed well without issues (CPU, disk space)
No antivirus installed on client server.

timeout increases to 120 seconds

Lets clarify:
1) This error mesaage recorded on system where agent is running, right?
----------
Failure log error:
[9/25/2014 7:53 AM] 192.168.194.201 Windows socket error: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine (10053), on API 'send'

----------
While HostMonitor shows Unknown test status and some error in Reply field? Probably "RMA: Cannot read" error?

2) Timeout 120 sec specified on RMA and HostMonitor side?

Can you perform any other WMI request using this agent?
Like Select HandleCount from Win32_Process where Caption='rma.exe'

Regards
Alex

1) The error is recorded on the remote agent on the server correct.
2) Timeout has been extended to 120 sec on both the agent and RMA manager, still no change
3) When I try perform any other WMI requests;

Select HandleCount from Win32_Process where Caption='RMA.EXE'

Error appears "Error: Access is denied"

What does this mean if the agent can connect to the server?

It seems utilising the WMI explorer the "Error: access is denied" always appears...

WMI service is started on the remote server also.

thanks
