we have changed the default medium txt file so that we can read them into excel for the presentation.

[normal layout]
Test name Status Last test time Last status Last reply Test method Total time Total tests Passed tests Failed tests Average reply

Folder: RootCitrix
nt-ctxt01_up Bad 19-6-2003 11:44:14 Bad 30604,27 Perf Counter test (System Up Time) 19:22:07 99 0 7 26430
nt-ctxt01_ping Host is alive 19-6-2003 11:47:02 Host is alive 0 ms ping (timeout - 2000 ms) 19:11:14 1135 1133 2 0,9
nt-ctxt01_nic Ok 19-6-2003 11:46:50 Ok 0,00 Perf Counter test (Bytes Total/sec) 18:59:48 415 52 0 229
nt-ctxt01_mem Ok 19-6-2003 11:46:52 Ok 2,45 Perf Counter test (% Committed Bytes In Use) 18:57:55 414 57 0 2,0

but after a while
the layout changes to this format:
[19-6-2003 11:47:39] nt-ctx02_dsk Ok 0,00 Perf Counter test (% Disk Time)
[19-6-2003 11:47:39] nt-ctx02_mem Ok 14,20 Perf Counter test (% Committed Bytes In Use)
[19-6-2003 11:47:39] nt-ctx02_cpu Ok 36 % CPU Usage
[19-6-2003 11:47:39] nt-ctx05_cpu Ok 2 % CPU Usage
[19-6-2003 11:47:39] nt-ctx02_nic Ok 0,00 Perf Counter test (Bytes Total/sec)

there are no extra reports configured for this folder.

any ideas?

I see reports look different. What about report profile? Does it look different than before? Does "Last test time" field located on the top of the list now? Probably somebody modified profile?
What version of HostMonitor do you use?

Regards
Alex

Report profiles are the same as before no fields are jumping to top or bottom.

i even removed all other report profiles but the one we use.

as far as i know nobody alters them but me .

we have version 3.68.

could the layout change because the file is scanned by excel for the values? every 15 sec?
reports for folders are generated every min.

I think I know what's wrong. 1st file that you provide is a report file. 2nd file is not report at all, its a log file!
I am sure because reports module cannot generate text report including date&time into square brackets (I did not mention this yesterday). I checked code and I am sure its a log file.
Probably you are generating report and log into the same physical file.

Alex
