Automatic name-change every day in common-log question

Hi!

Little question about the automatic name change of the common-log every day.
I know I can try it out but dont have the time to do it. Maybe someone can answer the question:
When does the commonlog name changes? Every 24h from starting loggin or every new day at midnight?

Every new day at midnight. But if there are no new information to log at this time, log file will be created later.
