DHCP test (Any IP?)

Post by hd@miralix.com »

Hostmonitor v.7.78 running on Windows Vista 32bit.

Question regarding DHCP test:

Is it possible to enter a setting/keyword into "Request IP" instead of using an actual IP address or <current local IP> ? I would like the test to as for an IP address and not a specific one. I've tried to enter <any>, *, <any ip address> and other settings but recieve "Invalid IP addres" every time.

Sorry, I do not understand the problem.
What is wrong with specific IP? It allows you to check DHCP server. HostMonitor sets "Host is alive" status when DHCP server properly responds within specified timeout, whatever it replies with NAK or ACK packet.
