Hi Juergen,
Quote: | No connection problems (you see that errors in Quick log-Pane ?!) |
mmh. Shit. No connection errors?
Yes, I see the errors in quick log.
AND: When I put it on 2 test per second the error comes up. I will put it again on 1 test per second. Then it seems to be ok. confusing...
Quote: | Maybe you'll try V7.01 or step back to 6.82 just for testing (Alex may say if that does make sense and what is the best way to do that) |
Ok, I have 6.82 and 7.00 and 7.06. But where do I get 7.01 ???
Cannot find it in the download area...!
Thanks guys for your support!

It was an update to 7.00
http://www.ks-soft.net/cgi-bin/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=18789&highlight=hm701+zip#18789
I don't know if that can be put in an installation newer than 7.01
Maybe Alex can explain, why some versions (fixes) are not in the official download area. |

If somebody needs quick fix for a minor(!) problem and we plan to release new version in several days or weeks then we do not upload that update into offcial download page.
You don't need unofficial version 7.01 because there is official 7.06

Hi,
here an update:
1. I changed the server. Before it was a 3.2 Pentium IV with 2 GB and Sata HDD. But it was a Mailserver and Virtual Maschine Host, too. It was very busy.
2. Now it is a windows 2003 Server running as a virtual machine on a dual xeon with 8 GB ram andf SCSI Hdd.
After this change I could now run about 10 Test/sec (or more) without a problem. But I will have an eye on it...
Active RMA:
I still have the problem, that the connection does not hold. I recongnized that after the serverchange it was much better, but I still have broken connections. In all my tests, it stop monitoring between 0 a.m. and 2 a.m. in the night.
I recongnized that after this hard stop the clients do not reconnect or better: they lose their connection in this time.
I changed for the active clients the schudele to 24h tests. We will see what will happen...
Happy New Year !

new problem:
I cannot start the HML Manager!
When I try it opens a new windows with "initialising" and it starts "self test" "appl init" and "system check". Then at that point the check stops for 10 seconds and the window closes. Thatīs all.
Also only a problem at my installation?
bye,
Alex |

Hi,
mmh, it does not work with the active RMA.
All three RMA Clients connections broke down over night.
One possible idea:
In germany we have fast internet connection (ADSL) which must have a "forcing running". Donīt know the word, I searched for a good translation. It means, that the DSL Provider stops the internetconnection once in 24 hours. The router may immediatly build up a new connection. But: there is a hard break down for the internet connection for some seconds.
This break down happens always (as I know) in the night. This happens at the client DSL and also at our DSL connection.
It looks like the RMA is connected to the HM till the connection (our or the client) breaks down and the RMA does not reconnect until I restart the service at the client site.
Any ideas to this?
thanks for your support.

Could you send all *hml, *.ini and *.lst files from HostMonitor's folder to support@ks-soft.net? We will try to reproduce the problem.
Please, compress the files before sending if possible.
